A New Home

I am here! For good! Matt and I have continued to unload all of our stuff! We have so much!  I still have one more load to bring from PA and Matt has a few things left at his Mom and Dad's.  Where will it all go!!!???

We got our Christmas tree this past weekend...our tree is GINORMOUS! It takes up so much space that we have decided not to set up our TV until after the holidays!  It's ridiculous.  We have also started putting up our Christmas lights outside..finally.

My first week is going good.  Matt has been working, so during the day I empty boxes and hang around. Today I went and got fingerprinted...last step to get certified in NJ...here's hoping for some sub work in January!

I am really so happy to be here and Matt and I are having fun getting re-acclimated. We are looking forward to Christmas together and to having his WHOLE family over for dinner!  Taylor is coming in on Christmas eve and I can't wait to see her too!  Stay tuned for some pictures as we finish getting everything put away and situated!

My friend Johnny is truly an inspiration to so many people. He brings a smile to the faces of everyone he meets. he is so positive and outgoing. He is accepting of everyone and a lover of life. Johnny is the kind of person I try to be. He is beautiful, kind, brave and smart among so many other things. I love you Johnny and I am so very proud of all that you have done...to help yourself and others!

One More Week!

This past weekend was our big move!!!! Believe it or not I have very few pictures at this point in time.  We were so busy moving things in I hardly had anytime for picture taking! Matt's dad and sisters helped us out on Friday night and the 2 of us were on our own the rest of the weekend! And the elevator to our second floor storage ynit was broken!! So we had to bring everything down the "old fashioned way".  Everything went smoothly and I only got legitimately injured twice!!! (hardcore bumped head and a dresser dropped on my toe! oh and I was attacked by a bowling ball!)  In the end we were unable to get the couch into the house without having to take the 3 front doors off their hinges!

We have our entire kitchen unpacked and ready for groceries. Groceries to be put into our SUPER AWESOME pantry! And today the carpets were cleaned on the second floor so we can start moving things upstairs from the living room tomorrow night.   Mom and dad are coming down on Sunday to help get things unpacked and put away and one week from Saturday I will be in for good! I can't wait!!!

From the kitchen out to the dining room/living room area and further out to the front porch.
From our bedroom looking into the hallway with the bathroom at the top of the stairs.

A sideways look at our pantry!!!

Matt and I are so excited to start our life together for a second time around!!! We are truly looking forward to it!

Katie loves the new place!!!

We can't wait for you to come visit!!!!

A Birthday, A Holiday and the Abel's Big Move!!!

The week started on a wonderful note!!! We celebrated the birthday of my FAVORITE 6 year old girl, Lily! He Wizards of Waverly Place party was so much fun. My mom and I did the cake for the party and Lil seemed pleased. :)

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving...the first one that Matt and I will not be spending together in a long time...6 years maybe? Have we ever been apart for a Thanksgiving??? I can't remember!  Tonight Stephanie and I made pies for tomorrow, as I am spending the holiday with my other family, the Stadlins!  Here are some "before" pictures...

PUMPKIN

I'll take some pictures of the final products tomorrow!!!  But more importantly...Matt and I are moving on Friday!!!! This whole weekend will be devoted to getting our rental house in Cape May up and running so that 2 weeks from now Matt and I can be there together and start getting ready for Christmas!!!! We are so excited! I feel like time is flying by and I can't wait for December 11!!(Happy Birthday T)

Student teaching is coming to a close and I feel like Matt and I have been given a new beginning! It's like getting married all over again!!! I can't wait for us to be together again and have a normal life...one that doesn't take 5 minutes to explain...one that, when mentioned, doesn't get frowns and head tilts!!!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, where ever you are!!! Be safe and enjoy the time with your loved ones!!

Welcome!

My name is Veronica and I am married to Matt. We have been married for almost 3 years already!! I am a grad student working on my master's degree in Elementary Education.  As I finish up the last leg with student teaching, Matt and I have been living apart. Matt our cat Dora and our lab, Katie have been living with his parents while I live with my parents in Pennsylvania. In just a few short weeks we will be back together, living in Cape May, celebrating our third Christmas as husband and wife.  This new transition, after living apart for 9 months will hopefully be a smooth one! I have no doubt in my mind that it will be!  Stay tuned for pics of our new place! Also, I will be keeping track of my weight loss as I tackle the "17 Day Diet". Hopefully I can offer some inspiration!!!
